A big welcome to our new skaters and welcome back to our seasoned skaters!
We are looking forward to seeing you next Monday September 30, 2024.
Just some small FAQ's for the first skating session.
1. Please arrive to the arena with enough time to stop by the front table to grab name tags, and to find the designated change room to put on skates and snow pants. First day is always a flurry of excitement so beat the rush by coming in about 15 minutes before your skaters session.
2. Dressing rooms have been allocated for Pre Can and Canskaters. Please see the monitor in the front lobby for more information.
3. If you are new to the program our helpful Program Assistants will be waiting for your skater at the ice to help them get on and get into the programs. They have the experience and training to assist even the newest of skaters on their first day.
4. Bundle up! It's chilly on the ice so mitts, coats and warm pants or snow pants are highly recommended.
5. Helmets must be Ice surface approved (CSA rated) Skiing helmets will not be permitted.
6. All skaters must have paid their minimum due in order to get on the ice for the first skate. Please see our register at the front table if you require any assistance. Our community is amazing and Laura is happy to help point you to community resources who understand that there should not be barriers to kids enjoying sports.
7. Coach Karen and Coach Erika will be assessing skaters the first couple of weeks to ensure they are in the correct programs. If you have any questions please reach out to our team of volunteers in the lobby.
8. It takes a village to run these programs and we are always looking for volunteers. Please let us know if you have a little bit of time to assist with attendance, coaches assistant or on our volunteer committee.
